About didi Rugby Stone and Stafford
Mollie Latham and Ros Wiggins – didi Rugby Stone and Stafford
Mollie Latham and Ros Wiggins combine their rugby playing skills, coaching knowledge and passion to make up the dream team which will run didi rugby Stone & Stafford.
Ros has a mass of experience in women’s rugby, disability sport and as a primary teacher by trade she has gained her level 5 PE Specialism: teaching in primary schools.
“During my time working in mainstream schools, I have experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to ensure that all pupils are accessing the national requirement from exercise during the week,” she said.
“I believe that I can do more as a coach than a teacher to try and ensure that children receive enough quality physical activity, enabling them to continue being physically active as they grow up, and didi rugby is the perfect setup to do this.” Mollie h
as grown up since the age of 10 with rugby in her life, she has captained both Liverpool Hope University and Crewe & Nantwich Ladies RUFC and has a wealth of playing and coaching experience.
After receiving the highest honours of the National Women’s player of the year award in August 2018, Mollie is keen to give back to grassroots rugby.
“Rugby has been such a huge part of my life, kept me healthy, active and its core values have definitely help shape me into the person I am today,” she said.
“We know that as a team we can combine our skills to provide quality and inspirational sessions to all our didi stars.
“We’re so excited to launching didi rugby in our local area. After coaching with didi rugby at Crewe & Nantwich for the last three months, we’ve seen what a difference a consistent, fun and structured activity class like didi can have on children’s development. We can’t wait to get started.”
